The legendary record label continues to explore WEB3. They have launched a search for a senior director of meta-universe development. This vacancy has appeared on LinkedIn.

The description states that the candidate must reside in New York. Ideally, they are looking for someone with experience in game development or meta universes. He should also have a deep understanding of the nuances of content licensing and the global digital media landscape.

So, the new top manager will head the meta-universe department at Warner Music Group’s head office. The vacancy is rather vague in describing his functions. The company expects to embed “immersive experiences in strategic branded content”.

Warner Music already has several blockchain specialists on staff. The brand is also actively working with many metaverse platforms and NFT marketplaces. In January, they launched their own music park in the metaverse universe The Sandbox. And then they started collaborating with the game platform Roblox.

Last week Warner Music signed a contract with OpenSea. It will give the musicians priority promotion on the NFT marketplace. Authors will get early access to new products, technical support and many other bonuses.
