They accused them of colluding with lawyers to pressure competitors
Ava Labs management denies the fact
On August 26, Crypto Leaks crypto detectives released scandalous material about Ava Labs. They reveal that they colluded with law firm Roche Freedman to “bog down” rivals with lawsuits. Under the terms of the secret deal, Roche Freedman co-founder Kyle Roche is to receive AVAX coins and Ava Labs shares for his work:

Crypto Leaks material includes several videos of the mentioned Kyle Roche. He says that the firm did receive money from Ava Labs to go after competitors, including Dfinity and Solana.
Ava Labs founder and CEO Emin Gun Sirer called the article “conspiracy theory nonsense”.
How could anyone believe something so ridiculous as the conspiracy theory nonsense on Cryptoleaks? We would never engage in the unlawful, unethical and just plain wrong behaviour claimed in these self-serving videos and inflammatory articles. Our tech & team speak for themselves.

He noted that the company would never do anything illegal, unethical or just plain wrong. Cyrer is confident that the Crypto Leaks material was commissioned.
Interestingly, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao also commented on the tweet and called the detectives’ allegations “wild”. But he later deleted his comment.
Roche Freedman does not mention Ava Labs on its LinkedIn account, and there is no publicly available evidence of their partnership. However, Avalanche and Roche do subscribe to each other on Twitter.
