Another trial in Musk’s case against Twitter took place on 13 October
It presented a document about an alleged investigation into the billionaire
Musk’s lawyer claims it is a misrepresentation
In reality, federal authorities are probing Twitter
On Thursday, 13 October, another hearing was held in Twitter’s lawsuit against Ilon Musk. As part of the process, the prosecutor presented a document indicating that the billionaire is under investigation.
It is not yet clear which agency is “looking into the actions” of Musk as part of his agreement with the media holding company. His attorney Alex Spiro said that Twitter was thus diverting attention from its own problems.
Recall that the company’s former “security officer” Piter Zatko accused the firm of ignoring vulnerabilities in its control of the information field. Spiro insists that the said investigation is primarily about the holding company itself.
“The authorities are probing Twitter executives. The company has accused my employer deliberately in order to find out the position of the investigation and what the officials know,” the attorney stressed.
Note that Musk has agreed to complete the deal at the original price. At his request, the judge suspended the proceedings until 28 October. Twitter has not yet commented on this.
